Making sky box images
There are a number of methods that can be used to make skies for your maps
- Manually
- Terragen (classic)
- PovRay
Of these, the quickest and easiest method is to manually create flat or gradient images for the sky, to find out more about how to do this see Creating sky box images manually
Terragen classic requires some patience but can generate excellent looking skies. For more information about making skybox images with Terragen classic see Making sky box images with Terragen
A relatively old method not very often mentioned today is to use one of the many PovRay macros to generate your skybox images, see Making sky box images with PovRay for a simple explanation of this method.

The _skybox entity is a little under-used in urt mapping, it adds a great way to add geometery to your map without building a massive hull to house it.
