There are a number of methods that can be used to make skies for your maps

*Manually
*Terragen (classic)
*PovRay

Of these, the quickest and easiest method is to manually create flat or gradient images for the sky, to find out more about how to do this see [[Manually_skybox|Creating sky box images manually]]

Terragen classic requires some patience but can generate excellent looking skies. For more information about making skybox images with Terragen classic see [[Terragen_skybox|Making sky box images with Terragen]]

A relatively old method not very often mentioned today is to use one of the many PovRay macros to generate your skybox images, see [[PovRay_skybox|Making sky box images with PovRay]] for a simple explanation of this method.
